Account Deletion and Data Retention

Deleting asks you to confirm in writing first, so a single tap can never remove your account. Once confirmed, we delete your profile, your FieldNotes, ratings and tags, your uploaded photos, saved cafés, trail progress and your search history.

We retain records we are legally required to keep, such as payment and tax records held with our payment provider, and records of your legal acceptances kept for compliance. We keep these only for as long as the relevant Australian law requires, then delete them.

Deleting your account does not by itself refund a membership. Cancel FieldNote+ before deleting if you want to avoid a further charge, and read the Terms of Use for how cancellation applies.

Deleted information can persist briefly in routine backups before those backups cycle out. It is not restored to the live service.
